Vertically integrated aerosol optical depth. Values between 0.00 - 0.02 are pure black and each shade continues at intervals of 0.02. The bright white values are >=2. This is derived from the 3D aerosol extinction coefficient analysis that utilizes HRRR-Smoke 3D fields and PM2.5 in-situ aerosol measurements.
