Orion as seen in February, 1971 with a 35mm camera using a 58mm f/1.4 lens. The camera was piggy backed onto a 6" Newtonian reflector for this 10 minute hand guided exposure (no clock drive). A guide star was kept near the center of the field using a 185x eyepiece.
Visible in the photograph are the Orion Nebula, the Horsehead Nebula, and the Rosette Nebula. Barnard's loop is also visible.
